Real Alcázar Opening Hours & the Best Time to Visit

The Real Alcázar of Seville opens every day at 09:30. It closes at 19:00 in summer and 17:00 in winter.

Closed: 1 January, 6 January, Good Friday and 25 December.

Closing time is when the palace starts clearing visitors, not the last moment to arrive. Plan to be inside at least two hours before closing.

First slot of the day. Arriving at opening gives you the patios and gardens before the tour groups. It is also the slot that sells out first, so book it early on the official shop.
Late afternoon. Crowds thin out and the light in the gardens is softer. In summer this is also the cooler part of the visit.
Avoid midday in July and August. Seville is one of the hottest cities in Europe, and much of the visit is outdoors.
