Yes, sometimes. The Real Alcázar offers a free visit on Mondays, sold as "Lunes Gratuito Visita Real Alcázar" in the official ticket shop. You still need a ticket for it, and it is a short slot that sells out quickly. Children under 13 enter free at any time.

The free Monday visit
It needs a ticket. Book it in the official shop like any other entry. It is not a walk-in.
It is the last hour of the day. The official shop does not print the hours; independent Seville guides report 18:00 – 19:00 in summer and 16:00 – 17:00 in winter. Check the time on your ticket.
It sells out. When we checked, the free Monday visit was listed as agotado (sold out).
One hour is short. It is enough for the main palace courtyards, not for the gardens as well. A regular on the Rick Steves forum put it bluntly: in an hour you would "practically be running through the rooms".

The Alcázar's fee ordinance adds one group the visitor page does not list: accredited members of ICOMOS, the international council on monuments and sites (article 4.3 g, checked October 7, 2026).
The rule that applies to all of them: the official page says you must show the supporting document together with your ticket at the access control. Being free does not mean you can skip the ticket or the paperwork. A passport or ID card that shows your birthplace, proof of residence in the city, a disability certificate or a current unemployment card, as the case may be. The official page does not list which proof of residence it accepts; if in doubt, ask the Alcázar before you go.
Note the detail: the residents' rule is for the city (municipio) of Seville, not the whole province. From the province, only registered unemployed people enter free.
Reduced tickets
Visitors aged 65+, students aged 14–30 and European Youth Card holders pay €8.00 instead of €15.50. Bring ID.
Is the free Monday worth it?
It depends on what you want:
You live in Seville: you do not need it. You already enter free any day, with more time and a slot of your choice.
You are visiting and already know the Alcázar: the free hour is a nice way to see the patios again in the evening light.
It is your first visit: pay for a full slot. One hour leaves out the gardens, which are half of the Alcázar.
Free Monday sold out?
A full-price slot at €15.50 is the next cheapest option. If those are gone too, a guided tour with entry included usually still has space and offers free cancellation.
