The Real Alcázar was the Water Gardens of Dorne, the palace of House Martell, in Game of Thrones. Filming took place in October 2014 for season 5, which aired in 2015, and the Alcázar returned as Dorne in season 6. Everything you see on screen is part of the normal visit, so a standard ticket (€15.50) is all you need.

The story it tells
Dorne is the southern kingdom of Westeros, and its rulers, the Martells, live in the Water Gardens. In season 5, Jaime Lannister travels there to bring back Myrcella, who is living with the Martells. The Alcázar's pools, fountains, orange trees and carved arches play Dorne's palace.
