Current prices, opening hours, and what to do when the official time slots are gone — so you spend the morning in the patios, not in a queue.
Book a time slot, arrive at opening, and give the gardens as long as the palaces.
That is most of what separates a great morning at the Alcázar from an hour in a queue. The rest — free Mondays, sold-out slots, which tour is worth it — is in the guides below.

For most of the year the official shop has slots a few days ahead, and at €15.50 it is the cheapest way in. But spring and autumn weekends do fill, and when the calendar shows nothing, this is the order that gets people through the Lion Gate.
Late afternoon is usually the last to fill. Most travellers give up after looking at a single time.
Tour operators hold their own allocation of group slots, separate from the public calendar. That is why a tour can still have space on a date the official shop calls full. It is not a loophole: it is a different pool of tickets.
These can be cancelled free up to 24 hours before: Alcazar of Seville Exclusive Group, max. 9 travelers and Alcazar of Seville: Exclusive Early Access Tour. The official ticket cannot be cancelled at all, so a refundable tour is the safer booking.
What we will not tell you: that the Alcázar is always sold out. It usually is not. Try the official shop first, every time.
