Real Alcázar With Kids: Free Entry, the Maze & Tips

The Real Alcázar is one of the best family visits in Seville. Children under 13 enter free with an adult, and the gardens, with a hedge maze, pools and fountains, keep them busy while adults enjoy the palaces.

Tips

1. Go at opening time. Cooler, calmer, and shorter queues.
2. Palaces first, gardens second. Save the maze as the reward.
3. Two hours is enough with young children; teenagers may want longer.
4. Pushchairs: paths are mostly flat, but some areas have steps and gravel.
5. Bring water and hats from late spring to early autumn.
